A few months ago, I made a little guide for a good friend of mine on how to make a very simple and basic chalk bag. I am a novice sewer myself, so I designed it to be as easy as possible to create.

I reckon you guys might get some use out of it, so I'm putting it up here, give it a go! Cheaper than buying one.

Leading up to me making this post, I tested and tried quite a few designs. Here are some pics for inspo should you want to try something unique!

Above: Some of my first designs. Pretty rudimentary. Made from the cuffs of on old pair of jeans.

Below: Phase 2. I got rid of the circular design and went for the shield shapes, with a little strip between the front and back, to make it wider.

Below: I didn't get some proper photos before I lost it, but I loved the patchwork look I did on this one, making the shield shapes from 3 different materials. I used the pre-existing seam from the jeans and incorporated it into the design to hide my own seams.

And here is my current chalk bag. I've been getting into embroidery so I did a little flower on the front...
